Chainlane – Webflow CMS Stabilization, New Features and Growth
On this project I stabilized the Webflow CMS infrastructure, updated and expanded key content areas, and added new marketing features that support the company's growth. The focus was on fixing CMS bindings, improving the editing experience for the team, and adding capabilities that drive conversions and sales.
Goals
⭐ Add pages and features that strengthen lead generation and demonstrate value (ROI, gated content).
⭐ Let the team manage content and links quickly and independently, directly from the CMS.
⭐ Remove Designer blockers and restore full visibility and editability of site sections.
⭐ Improve the user experience in content sections (News/FAQ) and reduce drop-off.
What was done
💎 New pages and features:
- Pricing page
- ROI calculator (RFID) with calculation logic and an optional lead gate
- Customer Stories as a CMS collection
- Password-protected Chainlane Academy (video/Storylane modal)
- Gated Content template for long-form assets
- Updated Platform page with a CLS-free Storylane embed
💎 Fixed the CMS binding of site sections (Technology Partners & Resellers): moved to a canonical link model in the collections, bound each card to a dedicated destination field and removed hard-coded links; updated the required destinations and prepared an editing guide for the team.
💎 Unblocked the Designer: cleaned up conflicting visibility conditions and display:none styles, and normalized classes to Client-First so the grids are editable at every breakpoint.
💎 UX upgrade in content sections: replaced pagination with Load more on the News page to keep the scroll flow; fixed FAQ typography and contrast for better readability and accessibility.
💎 CMS architecture: collections for partners, resellers, news and stories, reference fields to prevent duplicates, CSV-import readiness; Client-First class naming for maintenance at scale.
💎 Analytics and measurement: planned GA4 events (card clicks, gate submissions, calculator completions) and implemented them via GTM.
💎 SEO and performance: semantic headings, clean URLs, metadata, sitemap, image optimization, lazy loading and a smaller JS footprint.
💎 Accessibility and QA: improved contrast, focus states and keyboard navigation; cross-browser and cross-device testing.
💎 Team enablement: a short training session plus a “how to edit” guide so non-technical editors can safely manage logos, links and CMS items.
Results
⭐ Content and links are updated directly from the CMS in seconds, with no need to open the Designer and no regressions from hard-coded links.
⭐ A smoother reading experience in the News section and an accessible, clear FAQ reduced drop-off and increased engagement.
⭐ Fast publishing of stories, partners and gated assets; the ROI calculator and lead gate improved lead quality and supported the sales team.
